The "A" Litter

THE "A" LITTER, IN 1985

I started breeding greyhounds in 1985.

The 25th of November my first litter was born out of ROMANE and the English Import RONDELIN MO HAWK OF SOLSTRAND.

He was living in his new home in Italy near Bologna. His father was the famous English Champion SOLSTRAND DOUBLE DIAMOND (English Champion Shaunvalley Cavalier x American Champion Solstrand Bossa Nova) and his mother the top producer WENONAH JUNE FOLLY OF RONDELIN (Wenonah Kentucky x Solstrand Indian Summer).

My First Litter aged 2 days.

I went to our National Specialty with some of the puppies. They won their Puppy Class and the President of the Club asked me to show them in the "Breeder Class". In fact it was not allowed to show in this class the puppies but I had the great pleasure to show them among other older breeders as they were very nice to see.

They finished Second Best Breeder Group at only 4 months 1/2.

I began showing my first born BAKARA'S AMANDA in April 1986 in the Puppy Class at the French National Specialty Show. She was Best Puppy.

During her show carreer she won 1 BIS - 2 BOG - 2 Group III - 11 BOB - 10 CACIB - 13 CAC. She became Italian Champion, International Champion.

BAKARA'S AMANDA

AMANDA has just left us on February 1999, the 26th after 13 years, 3 months and 1 day of living with us with everything implied in our shared life : mutual understanding, joys, and sometimes worries ...

Her recent loss is very painful but we prefer to remember the enjoyment of 13 years together and the fact she had a peacefull death. Thanks to our vet and friend Dr BERENGER who was available, as he always is, on the night of her death.
